Revealed: Thor Ragnarok’s Loki & Thor 3 Set Photos

While I’ve been on hiatus from all things regarding , it appears all things regarding have suddenly come to life.

The big names (Chris Hemsworth, , … In case you’ve forgotten some of the Big Names) have arrived at Australia’s Gold Coast to begin filming at Village Roadshow Studios; donned a black wig to reveal Loki’s Hair 2017; Mark Ruffalo released a video of himself as CGI Hulk, and photos of Asgard (presumably?) from the Thor Ragnarok set have begun to circulate the interwebs. There’s probably more stuff I’m missing here, but that’s the gist of it so far, right?

Anyway, Tom Hiddleston gives the sneak peak of his transformation into Thor Ragnarok‘s Loki here…

And while some of Asgard’s have already been deleted from the net. here’s an amalgamation of those available so far…

And if you haven’t yet seen Mark Ruffalo on set of Thor Ragnarok and playing fisty cuffs as the Hulk, you can do so here…

Hello from the set of #Thor3! As you can see, I’ve got my hands full. It ain’t easy being green….@marvel

I admit, I’ve been struggling to have any kind of faith in Thor Ragnarok for some time now – as is probably apparent by my lack of posts. But those set design photos have given me a little bit of hope. If nothing else, it’s comforting to see that, as with Thor: The Dark World, they’re going to be using real and rather large-scale sets to depict Asgard, rather than relying solely on CGI (which was something that irked the hell out of me in the first Thor film.)

And while I’m still somewhat troubled by ’s reveal that he was brought onboard in part to add more humour to the Thor movie franchise, I have developed a lot of faith in his ability to create movies that incorporate both humour, and rich story-telling (I’m talking about Boy and Hunt for the Wilderpeople here folks, not What We Do In the Shadows.)

So… I’m creeping back to my bunker of blankets, pillows, and snotty plague-ridden tissues. Gonna drown my head-cold sorrows in Vicks and lemon & honey drinks. Feel free to contact me if you have any comments or questions if you have any news to submit.

In a nutshell: 30-something. Mother of 3. New Zealander. Prone to escapism. Procrastinates over most things yet energised and enthusiastic when hit with alarmingly stupid and random ideas. Hasn't slept since the early-90's.

I really want to look forward to this film, but I have the horrible feeling it’s going to be a ‘man’ picture. All I keep hearing from the director is ‘Thor and Hulk’s epic journey across space.’ Yes, I know Cate and Tessa are in it but one’s the villain, and I suspect the other will only feature in a limited role. I also was a bit disturbed that the director said in an interview that he chose his actress because he ‘wanted to diversify the cast’ rather than for her talent. That’s a bit insulting to the actress. I also think the original cast were treated a bit unfairly – most of them have been dropped.

It would be nice if I am proved completely wrong, but if this film turns out to be what I think it is, I won’t bother with the cinema and wait for Tom’s scenes to turn up on youtube!

Just heard the Warriors Three will be returning for Thor 3…but no Sif.
